About Us

Howard Frisk is a freelance photographer residing in Puyallup, Washington. As a Washington State native, he grew up exploring the mountains, grasslands and seashores of the Great Pacific Northwest at every opportunity. Now his favorite activity is taking photo road trips around the Evergreen State, always trying to capture the beauty that awaits those who seek it.

Howard's photographs have been on display in exhibitions at Premier Gallery and Gallery Three in Puyallup as well as the Northwest International Exhibition of Photography and Washington State Photographers Exhibition in Puyallup. His photographs were on display as part of the Harvest: The Bounty of Washington photography exhibition at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle from July through December 2015 as well as the Walking the Neighborhood exhibition which ran from October 2017 to March 2018.
Most recently, eleven of Howard's photographs were accepted into the 2025 Cascadia Photography Exhibition and two into the International Photography Exhibition in Puyallup. These are juried exhibitions, meaning that only photographs approved by a panel of judges are accepted.  His photographs have been published in numerous Seattle and Washington State travel guides, including the ScenicWA website.

In June of 2017 the local newspaper Northwest Prime Time published an article written by Howard describing the Seven Wonders of Washington State. You can read the article on their web site below.

Purchase The Seven Wonders of Washington State

I recently published my second book, Abandoned Washington State. In addition to it's many natural wonders, Washington State is also home to a fascinating array of abandoned places. Utilizing historical as well as present day photographs, the book explores ghost towns, abandoned railroads, schools, farms, businesses and military sites. The first printing sold out, and the book is now in it's second printing. You can purchase your own copy directly from me via the link below.
