Reviews What readers say about The Seven Wonders of Washington State
Nick I just read this book for the 2nd time and enjoyed it even more. Anyone moving to the state of Washington or traveling to the state, this is a must-read. Not only does it highlight the key tourist attractions of the state, but just as importantly, the author explains in layman’s terms the geological processes that transformed this state into the beautiful state it is. I am a Physical Geography major in college, and the author answers all the questions I ask when I see a rock formation, waterfall, volcanic mountain, River Gorge, or Rain Forest. Great job, Mr. Frisk.
Ann 5 out of 5 stars Inspiration to explore Washington I never knew Washington state was so interesting. It has everything. You will find every type of landscape from sandy beaches to rugged mountains, from fertile farmland to almost Martian looking rock formations; all beautifully shown in Howard’s photographs. It really makes you want to get on the road and to explore.

Terese 5 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Travel Guide!! I received this book as a gift, The Seven Wonders of Washington State, before recently traveling to Puyallup to visit family. What a wonderfully organized book, with beautiful pictures taken by the amazing Howard Frisk and narratives which certainly express a special love for the state. The uniqueness of this travel guide is that it is not another one filled with expensive tourist traps, but one which captures the breathtaking beauty of the state of Washington, and makes you want to concentrate on immersing yourself in its natural wonders. Mt. Rainer, Mr. St. Helens, and the Hoh Rain Forest are just 3 of the 7 Wonders, which will amaze you as they did me with a magnificence that is hard to capture in words. I am very grateful to have received this book and would highly recommend it to others. I will continue to recognize the work and particularly the talented photography of Howard Frisk. Thank you for this work of art.

They draw you along on a pictorial tour of our beautiful state. The short sections of interesting background facts for each "wonder" are concise and informative. They give the reader the feeling of having been on a personally guided tour without leaving home. My curiosity has been piqued by this book. My goal is to visit each "wonder' in person, thanks to Howard's beautiful book. Amazon Customer 5 out of 5 stars I would recommend this book I was given this book as a gift. I found it so very interesting and informative. The photography is exceptional, and as a reference book it had so many facts and so much fascinating information. The "WONDERS" were interesting areas to feature, as several are not known to many people, such as the Channeled Scablands, and the semi desert Palouse. I would recommend this book. It is a good guide book as well, offering where, when and how to capture the same views and experiences the author portrays. I will purchase this book as a gift for others, as it is a good introduction to Washington State in all of its glory.
